IIEG to Participate in the Seminar on Young Women’s Leadership for the Sustainability of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Rabat

Rabat, Morocco – October 23, 2026

The International Institute for Geopolitical Studies (IIEG) will participate on October 23, 2026, in Rabat, in the Seminar on Young Women’s Leadership for the Sustainability of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, organized by the ConnectinGroup International Foundation, in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, at the Tour Hassan Hotel.

Held under the theme “From Generational Renewal to Influential Leadership: Investing in Young Women for Sustainable Peace,” the event will bring together institutional representatives, diplomats, experts, civil society stakeholders, and women actively engaged in conflict prevention, mediation, and peacebuilding processes.

IIEG’s Contribution to Women’s Leadership and Sustainable Peace

On this occasion, Mr. Khaled Hamadé, President of the IIEG, will represent the Institute as a speaker in the panel dedicated to Axis 1: “Women’s Leadership and the Sustainability of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.”

This panel will address the strengthening of young women’s roles in peace processes, governance, and decision-making, emphasizing the importance of developing long-term institutional commitments and sustainable partnerships.

IIEG’s participation reflects its mission to promote dialogue, conflict prevention and resolution, and initiatives supporting inclusive and sustainable peace.

Strengthening Young Women’s Participation in Peace Processes

More than twenty-five years after the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda remains an essential framework for promoting women’s meaningful participation in conflict prevention, mediation, and peacebuilding mechanisms.

The seminar aims to foster generational renewal in women’s leadership, strengthen young women’s skills, and facilitate their access to negotiation, influence, and decision-making spaces.

Discussions will also focus on intergenerational dialogue, mentorship, preventive diplomacy, and the development of institutional partnerships, both in Morocco and across Africa.

Towards a Rabat Roadmap

The event seeks to contribute to the development of a Rabat Roadmap for Young Women’s Leadership in the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, structured around four key priorities: intergenerational knowledge transfer, strengthening mediation skills, access to leadership and decision-making positions, and the establishment of sustainable partnerships.

Through the participation of its President, IIEG reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive approach to peace, grounded in dialogue, cooperation, and recognition of the essential role played by women and younger generations in building a sustainable future.

Think. Dialogue. Act.

2026 Warsaw Human Dimension Conference

IIEG Represented at the 2026 OSCE Warsaw Human Dimension Conference

**Warsaw, Poland – October 8, 2026**

The International Institute for Geopolitical Studies (IIEG) was honored to be represented by **Dr. Jean-Marie Heydt, a member of its Scientific Council**, at the **2026 Warsaw Human Dimension Conference of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)**, at the invitation of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship.

On this occasion, Dr. Jean-Marie Heydt delivered a presentation on a particularly relevant topic: **“Fear as a Tool of Legitimation: Racism, Islamophobia and Xenophobia in Modern Society.”**

Fear at the Heart of the Mechanisms of Exclusion

In his presentation, Dr. Jean-Marie Heydt explored how fear can be instrumentalized to fuel discrimination, deepen social divisions, and legitimize exclusionary policies.

He particularly highlighted the mechanisms through which certain political and media narratives contribute to the stigmatization of minorities, the spread of stereotypes, and the normalization of xenophobia.

His analysis also emphasized the role of conspiracy theories and divisive rhetoric in creating an artificial opposition between “us” and “them.”

Turning Diversity into a Strength for Social Cohesion

Beyond identifying these challenges, his presentation conveyed an essential message: **the “Other” should not be perceived as a threat, but rather as a source of enrichment and a partner in building more inclusive societies.**

Dr. Jean-Marie Heydt also stressed the importance of education, media responsibility, intercultural dialogue, and inclusive public policies in the long-term fight against discrimination.

A Commitment Reflecting IIEG's Core Values

This participation fully aligns with the values upheld by the International Institute for Geopolitical Studies: **the promotion of peace, interc
